We are not participants in the so-called "Green Realtor Designation Program" as we are much more interested in saving you a LOT OF GREEN $$!  You don't have to go to a class to figure out things like reducing your home's energy requirements (heating, cooling, water heating, lighting, appliances, TV's, computers, etc.). The green objective is to reduce the use of fossil fuels to 'save the world' based upon what now appears to be corrupt and false data by lots of folks, including the United Nations, the Federal Government and Al Gore.  The government (using a version of Cap and Trade) will soon be controlling your usage of energy by (1)determining just how much you will be allowed to use, and (2) taxing both your 'authorized' and 'unauthorized' uses considerably.  This will be control by excessive taxation on your usage of gas and electrical energy, propane, and your gasoline and diesel and even electric fuel usage.  The Obama Administration is now seeking ways to provide grants to low income people to 'green' their houses at tax payer expense (did you see this one coming?).  As the Feds implement their Home Energy Certification Requirements, owners will be required to spend considerable cash to meet the government requirements.  Taxes will likewise go up to fund the thousands of government inspection and certification personnel.  Also,  Green homes do face a Red Light...  Green home construction continues to have considerable difficulty with nearly impossible to overcome low appraisals requiring buyers to come up with considerably more down payment or just stopping construction.  Your government sets goals for you then makes it nearly impossible to accomplish those goals.  And they use your tax dollars to subsidize most any 'so-called' green manufacturing company including failing solar panel manufacturing companies subsidized by your tax dollars while they continue to lose money and declare bankruptcy, only to be saved by a Chinese Company (didn't see that one coming either).
